About – La Vigne D'Or

In 2008, Sandy first set forth to New Zealand, where she saw her first vines and took the WSET Advanced course with Jane Skilton MW.

That experience sparked her burgeoning passion for wines and she has never looked back since.

After her brief sojourn in New Zealand, Sandy followed her calling and moved to Beaune , known as the ‘Capital of Burgundy’ in France. Thereafter, Sandy lived in Montpellier (Languedoc-Rousillon) and Bordeaux for 3 years, where she later took on a position with a Bordelais negociant company.

In 2016, Sandy represent Chateau Cos d’Estournel in the 2016 Marathon du Medoc, and you can read about her journey as self-chronicled in the Prestige Online Magazine here.

Through the years, Sandy has spent much time forging close personal ties and working relationships with not only the French Chateau owners, but also winegrowers and winemakers from all around the world- from small, artisanal producers to established, coveted brands.

La Vigne d’Or (the gold vine, in french) was borne out of Sandy’s desire to create a bespoke wine curation service that would bring the rarest wine gems into the hands of discerning Private Clients while maintaining authenticity and respect for provenance.

The gilded, gold vine may represent luxury and prestige, but beneath it lies a deep-rooted sense of place, history, and origins.
